About Us
Learn how RemittanceCalc creates independent remittance calculators and educational guides for transfer fees, exchange rates and recipient amounts.
Last updated: August 28, 2026Our Mission
International money-transfer pricing can be difficult to compare because a transaction may combine an explicit transfer fee, a retail exchange rate, payment-method charges, payout costs and sometimes intermediary or receiving-bank deductions.
RemittanceCalc exists to make those moving parts easier to understand. Our goal is to help users ask better questions before paying: How much will I send? What is the fee? What exchange rate is being used? How much will the recipient receive? How long should delivery take?
What We Publish
RemittanceCalc publishes calculators and guides covering remittance fees, exchange-rate markup, international wire charges, provider comparisons, country corridors, recipient amounts and related topics.
Some pages focus on a provider, while others focus on a route such as sending money from one country to another. We also publish explanatory content about U.S. remittance-transfer rules and calculators for common cost components.
How Our Calculators Work
Most calculators ask the user to enter figures from a live quote, such as the send amount, provider fee or exchange rate. This approach avoids pretending that one static fee or rate applies to every country, amount or payment method.
Where we estimate an FX margin, we compare a provider rate with a benchmark rate supplied by the user or described on the page. The result is an estimate of the percentage difference and its approximate value on the transfer amount.
We encourage users to verify the final provider checkout before paying because prices and exchange rates can change.
Editorial Independence
RemittanceCalc is designed as an independent informational site. A provider being mentioned or linked does not mean it owns or controls the page.
Advertising, if present, is separated from editorial judgment. Our calculator formulas should not change merely because a company advertises on the site. Any material sponsored or affiliate relationship should be disclosed where relevant.
See our Editorial Policy and Advertising Disclosure.
Sources and Primary References
When a page depends on legal or regulatory information, we prefer primary sources such as government agencies, official provider documentation and regulatory materials. Provider-pricing pages may also link to the provider’s help or pricing pages because the company controls its own current transaction terms.
Updates and Corrections
Money-transfer markets change quickly. Fees, exchange rates, transfer limits, payout options and provider policies can change after a page is published. We therefore treat calculators as tools for live user inputs rather than fixed promises.
If you identify a factual error or broken calculator, contact us. We review meaningful corrections and may update the page, methodology or source note.
What We Do Not Do
RemittanceCalc does not hold customer money, operate a remittance transfer, issue payment cards, provide bank accounts or guarantee a provider quote. We also do not provide individualized financial, tax or legal advice.
